Adds curl to my wavy hair

I've used this shampoo and its matching conditioner for years and love it. I'm a white woman in my early 40s, and have coarse, thick and wavy shoulder-length hair that can get frizzy and big. This shampoo helps to add curl to my hair, and it helps tame the frizz. No other shampoo I've found has such a wonderful effect on my hair. It's gentle, so it doesn't contribute to my frizz problem. To style after shampooing and conditioning with B&B Curl Conscious, I use a few squirts of the B&B Hairdresser's Oil on my ends, some B&B Surf Spray, and a curl-enhancing mousse. I let my hair air dry, and it's soft, curly, and frizz-free all day.

pros:

Many months ago I was house sitting for a friend and she had this in her shower. I immediately was addicted!I use the shampoo and conditioner on my naturally wavy (but unruly) hair and nothing else. Typically I need to use a defrizzer but this worked like a charm! I use a defuser to dry my hair and my waves are soft and perfect.Love the smell and just ordered the foam!

Great for curls...but dries out my hair?

pros:

I have an afro. Literally. And this shampoo works really well if you want your natural curls to curl "together" instead of being frizzy. Even as I'm rinsing out the shampoo in the shower I can feel how my curls are "winding" with each other. However, I felt like it dried out my hair a lot. But I have extremely thick hair that never gets oily and I dye it once a month. So I'm sure my hair type plays a role in why it tends to be dry. I still love the product and would recommend it. If you're worried about the cost, rest assured that this stuff lasts a very long time! I have very thick, long hair and I usually have to fill my entire palm with product to get a sufficient amount distributed throughout my hair. So I was surprised that I only needed a quarter-sized amount.
