Hair Stories No.7 is the tale of Bb.On Tour - a road show of our teachings (and learnings) - our cuts, color, styling, photographs, photo shoots, model mayhem (and magic), late nights, low points, lessons learned and 30+ years of Bb. culture packed onto a bus.
We've been educating hairdressers for 3 decades, and a few years ago fulfilled our dream of opening Bumble and bumble University - a fulltime advanced educational facility in the Meatpacking District where stylists, owners and salon managers come to learn from us and experience our culture first hand. The waiting list to attend Bb.U can be nearly a year long, so instead of keeping the Bb.Salon Network waiting, we decided to take Bb.On Tour, and bring our cutters, colorists, film makers, photographers, artists and casting director to seven different cities, and show them what Bb. is and what we stand for. Hair Stories No.7 is the story of Bb.On Tour - the whole story. We could show you the finished result - all edited and retouched, but a transparent creative process is much more interesting to me, so this is our offering: The guts of the Bb.On Tour creative process - the good, the bad and the really ugly. Every city taught lessons about more than hairdressing - about leadership, failure, planning, creativity and freedom, and the need for a great team (because that's a tool you can't sacrifice). -Howard McLaren
